Our work in Kenya

Kenya

In Kenya, SAPI carries out essential work: distributing menstrual hygiene kits to girls in schools and communities. This initiative tackles period poverty, a major cause of school absence and stigma for young girls. By providing reusable pads, soap, underwear and information on menstrual health, SAPI improves the dignity, self-confidence and school attendance of the girls it reaches. The work goes hand in hand with community awareness sessions to break taboos around periods and create a more inclusive school environment for girls.
